A practical introduction to user interface (UI) design for the web.

We first paint a picture of why the web is one of the key human advancements in modern times, then get a feel for the many design and development career options in the field. Launching into web UI next, we introduce a range of common components, test knowledge with a quick Kahoot quiz, then challenge students to redesign a web layout via a paper-based redesign activity. This session is great for people interested in computing, digital media, and/or graphic design.
