BA (Hons) Photography and Print graduate Daisy Groves’ deeply personal project exploring queer love has earned national recognition.
A portrait from the project won the portrait category in a prestigious FLIP (London Independent Photography) magazine competition.
Inspired by encouragement from course leader Sam Fordham and developed as part of the Professional Practice module, Daisy’s project ‘Us As We Are’ challenges traditional representations of love in art and visual culture.
Rooted in the student’s own lived experience, the project presents an alternative to the heteronormative narratives that often dominate photography, film and art.
