Lee is Director of Academic Development at boomsatsuma, and course leader for BSc (Hons) Web Design and Development.
He is an experienced higher education professional known for developing unique, industry-aligned courses that collide technology and imagination. A fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Lee has been shaping, leading and delivering undergraduate courses for nearly a decade - including six years as department head of Creative Computing at Bath Spa University. He is committed to supporting talent development in the creative industries, and connects with key players in Bath and Bristol to prepare students for the creative tech careers of tomorrow.
Lee is a diverse creative technologist with a background in audio production, digital performance, game design, and web development. With a PhD in interactive online opera, his work explores new ways of using technology to tell stories that engage contemporary audiences.
Lee is an advocate for games as a way to educate, persuade, raise awareness and support community-building. He is co-director of Echo Games CIC, a community interest company that develops playful experiences for cultural institutions and research centres. Recent commissions cover a range of topics - from environmental conservation and the youth justice system, to CRISPR gene editing, fertility education, and CAR T-cell therapy.
