Begin your journey into the world of games and immersive entertainment.

In this course you'll develop a range of skills around games - including 2D and 3D illustration, modelling and rigging, animation, games engine programming and visual effects. See your incredible ideas come to life and develop a portfolio of awesome game projects to the standard that potential employers and universities expect.

The core of this course is a year-long game development project that you'll create from the ground up. This gives you an inside look at how game are made - from the creative side of things to project management and collaboration.

CONTENT

As a Games, VR and VFX student you'll gain technical skills and experience while developing a specialist area through a final game project. You'll experience all aspects of the game making process alongside broad areas that prepare you for a range of roles within the creative industries.

Where can this course take you?

Graduates of Games, VR and VFX could choose to apply for entry level roles in game studios, creative agencies and interactive departments in larger media organisations. This may include 3D modelling and texturing work, environment art, UI design, games testing and gameplay design.

LOCATIONS

All of our classrooms are placed within central working hubs that put you right where the creative industries are. You'll spend time working at our Leadworks site, located in the heart of Bristol's Harbourside and surrounded by creative organisations.

Courses for students aged 16-18 are fully funded, however we ask for an annual £150 studio fee to cover enrichment costs. You'll be eligible to apply for a discretionary bursary to cover this and to assist with travel costs.
