THE ROLE

Bristol Film School at boomsatsuma is seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to join our team of production and post production specialists. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching across undergraduate filmmaking courses, administer assessments and support day-to-day activities within the Film School – including course development, recruitment, student support and academic administration.

We welcome applications from candidates with a  range of teaching experience and professional engagement with the film and television industry. The scope, compensation, and FTE contract for the role is dependent on appointment level and will be agreed as part of the hiring process. Please contact us for more information.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a self-motivated individual who has the knowledge and confidence to teach across a range of undergraduate filmmaking modules, engaging with both industry-standard and experimental practices. Depending on your background, you may have worked in the film industry, have experience teaching on a higher education programme, or be an early career professional with a drive to support young creatives into film and television roles. In all cases, you will be adaptable, organised, and able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people. An ability to learn new skills is also desirable, whether they be technical, artistic or pedagogical.
