about me

Lee is Director of Academic Development for degrees and Head of Games Design.

He is an experienced higher education professional with a reputation for designing unique, industry-aligned courses that blend technology and imagination. A fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Lee has been shaping undergraduate and postgraduate courses for nearly a decade - including six years as department head of Creative Computing at Bath Spa University. He is committed to supporting talent development in the creative industries, and connects with key players in Bath and Bristol to prepare students for the creative tech careers of tomorrow.

Lee is a creative technologist with a background in audio production, digital performance, game design and web technologies. With a PhD in interactive online opera, his work explores new ways of using technology to tell stories that engage contemporary audiences. Lee is an advocate for games as a way to educate, persuade, raise awareness and support society.

Lee is Co-Director of Echo Games CIC - a community interest company that develops playful experiences for cultural institutions and research centres. Recent commissions include games on environmental conservation (National Geographic), CRISPR gene editing (Gurdon Institute) and CAR T Cell therapy (Great Ormond Street Hospital). His work with Echo Games and other artists has been exhibited in Ireland, Germany, Australia, Canada and Taiwan.

Lee is regularly engaged to create bespoke project websites for museums, theatre companies, media studios and not-for-profits. This website was also designed and developed by Lee.
