Boomsatsuma is preparing to launch an exciting new wellbeing initiative designed to support students navigating the realities of education, creativity, and everyday life challenges – both inside and alongside student life.
The upcoming Student Survival Toolkit marks one of first completed live projects from Boomsatsuma’s newly established Create Agency – a wider creative initiative which includes a supported traineeship programme based at The Bottle Yard Studios.
The project gave trainees the opportunity to work collaboratively on a genuine client brief, producing professional-level creative outputs with real-world impact.
“Our mascot, ‘Brain Guy’, helps bring the themes to life in an informal, engaging way. The positive experience has put our trainees in a strong position to tackle increasingly ambitious real-world commercial briefs we are now undertaking.”
Toby Farrow, Creative Team Leader
Developed as part of Boomsatsuma’s wider commitment to student wellbeing, the toolkit series combines engaging visual design, relatable messaging, and practical support resources aimed at helping students manage the pressures of modern student life.
At the centre of the campaign is the playful new mascot, ‘Brain Guy,’ dreamed up by the Create Agency team to bring complex wellbeing themes to life in an accessible and fun way.
Creative Team Leader, Toby Farrow, said: “The first commercial brief for our new Create Agency could have been daunting for our trainees. However, a clear brief, a supportive client journey, and an emotional connection to the theme of student wellbeing resulted in a cohesive suite of innovative and playful designs and illustrations.
“We can’t wait to see the prints displayed across Boomsatsuma’s venues.”
The Student Survival Toolkit will roll out across Boomsatsuma channels in the coming weeks.
For Boomsatsuma students, the project signals a continued investment in wellbeing support and student experience.
