Learning Support Practitioner (LSP)
The role
We’re looking for a compassionate, proactive and creative Learning Support Practitioner to join our team and help young people with SEND flourish in an inspiring post-16 learning environment.
Working alongside specialist creative lecturers, you’ll provide personalised support for learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and high needs across our art, design, media and creative courses. Whether you’re supporting students in the classroom, studio or workshop, your role will be to help every learner access the curriculum, develop independence and build the confidence to achieve their goals.
Working closely with the SENCO, Deputy Head of College, teaching staff and external professionals, you’ll contribute to EHCP reviews, support personalised learning strategies and champion inclusive practice across the college. From adapting learning activities and supporting one-to-one interventions to encouraging students to take part in exhibitions, performances and wider college life, you’ll play a vital role in helping every learner realise their creative potential.
This role would suit someone with experience supporting young people with SEND who is passionate about inclusive education, believes in the power of creativity to transform lives, and enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive, multidisciplinary team.
