SEN Tutor, Specialist SEN Provision

The role

We’re looking for a passionate, creative and adaptable SEN Tutor to join our specialist provision in Central Bristol, helping young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) thrive through engaging, inclusive and personalised learning.

Working closely with our Centre Lead, teachers and wider support team, you’ll help plan and deliver exciting Creative Arts and Media lessons, adapting your approach to meet a range of SEN and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You’ll also provide one-to-one and small-group support, helping students build confidence, develop their creative skills and engage positively with learning.

A key part of this role is building strong, trusting relationships with young people, creating a safe and supportive environment where they feel understood, valued and encouraged to succeed. You’ll use trauma-informed approaches to support emotional regulation, promote positive behaviour and help students overcome barriers to learning, while contributing to personalised support plans, safeguarding and the wider development of our specialist provision.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in Creative Arts or Media who is patient, empathetic and passionate about inclusive education. If you enjoy working collaboratively, bringing creativity into the classroom and making a genuine difference to young people’s lives, we’d love to hear from you.
