SENCO, Specialist SEN Provision
The role
We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative SENCO to provide specialist oversight of SEN practice across our growing specialist SEN provision in Bristol and Weston-super-Mare.
This is a strategic and operational role that works across all centres, ensuring provision is aligned with EHCP requirements, supports high-quality individualised learning, and meets statutory expectations. You’ll play a vital role in shaping a consistent and responsive SEND approach across multiple sites, while staying closely connected to the needs of individual learners.
A key part of this role is leading the admissions and consultation process. You’ll work closely with Local Authorities, families and internal teams to review EHCPs and supporting documentation, assess suitability, and help make informed, defensible placement decisions. You’ll also support the development of robust systems and processes that can grow with the provision over time.
Working alongside the General Manager, Centre Leads and Admissions Coordinator, you’ll help ensure learners have meaningful Individual Learning Plans, that progress against EHCP outcomes is clearly evidenced, and that staff are supported to deliver ambitious, responsive and individualised provision.
This role would suit an experienced practitioner who is analytical, learner-centred and confident operating across multiple teams and sites. It also offers flexibility, with full-time, part-time and hybrid options available depending on experience and availability.
Other requirements
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle required
