Congratulations to the Class of 2025 – you did it!

Graduation 2025 at Ashton Court Mansion

On a bright July afternoon, students, families and friends came together at Ashton Court Mansion to celebrate the end of one chapter and the beginning of the next.

This was the second year of degree graduations at Boomsatsuma, once again set against the stunning backdrop of one of Bristol’s most iconic locations. It’s always a special moment to pause and recognise just how far our students have come — each with their own unique story, many having overcome significant challenges, and some having been part of the Boomsatsuma journey since college.

“This marks the second year of graduation celebrations for degree programmes at Boomsatsuma, once again set against the stunning backdrop of Ashton Court Mansion. It’s always a special occasion to celebrate the achievements of our students alongside their families, friends, and advocates. Each student’s journey is unique and inspiring — many have overcome real challenges, and some we’ve worked with through both college and undergraduate study. We couldn’t be prouder of them. Days like this are a powerful reminder of the dedication our teams bring to nurturing emerging talent, and of how fortunate we are to be part of an organisation that makes such a meaningful impact on young people, on Bristol, and on the UK’s creative industries.”

Dr Lee Scott, Head of Higher Education

Actor Paul McGann, joined us as keynote speaker, offering wisdom and warm encouragement to the graduating cohort. Filmmaking student Otis took to the stage to speak on behalf of his class and crew, with a reflection on the years together.

Congratulations to all our graduates — the future’s already brighter with you in it.

‘Let me wrap up with a reminder—if one were needed—that education in the arts is not a privilege, but a right that should be extended to all, regardless of social background or financial means. If our creative industries are to continue to thrive, to excel, to punch above their weight, the surest guarantee will be that its future cohorts of newcomers come from the widest pool of talent. That’s you.’
